About us

Where adventure tourism meets technical capability

The Zambian Outdoor Adventure Company is a Lusaka-headquartered adventure tourism and outdoor training operator, delivering scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, off-road safari and wilderness skills experiences across the country.

We've grown from a single dive outpost in Mpulungu into a national operator working with mining houses, government agencies, conservation partners and travellers from across the world.

Vision

A Zambia where the country's lakes, rivers, escarpments and bush are recognised as a world-class adventure destination in their own right — anchored by a generation of Zambian-trained guides, dive professionals and outdoor specialists equipped to lead it.

Mission

To unlock Zambia's outdoor and adventure potential through professionally guided, safety-first experiences — while building local capability in diving, wilderness skills and rescue training that outlasts any single trip or season.

Core values

What we stand for

01

Safety first, always

Every expedition, dive and training programme runs on internationally recognised safety protocols, with equipment and certification standards we hold ourselves to before we ask it of anyone else.

02

Local roots, national reach

We are built from a Zambian lake town outward. Our guides and dive professionals are overwhelmingly Zambian, and our growth has always followed local knowledge first.

03

Respect for wild places

We operate to a low-impact, leave-no-trace standard at every site, from Tanganyika's reefs to the Muchinga escarpment — because our business depends on these places staying wild.

04

Capability that stays behind

Whether we are training a school group or a mine rescue team, the goal is to leave people more capable than we found them — not simply to deliver an experience and move on.
